About the Writers

Judy Freed (Book) is an award-winning bookwriter whose musicals have been performed in London, New York, Chicago, Seoul, and throughout the United  States. Shows include Mom!, Through the Door (produced by Global Artists Network Productions); Sleepy Hollow (developed at the ASCAP/Disney Workshop; produced throughout the U.S.), Emma & Company (a Backstage “theatrical highlight of the year”), Capone and Me, or How I Died in the Saint Valentine’s Day Massacre (a winner of the Global Search for New Musicals) and Tantrum on the Tracks (published by YouthPLAYS). Sari Miller is an award-winning musician whose work has been recognized by Barnard College (Program in the Arts Award, Lefrak Prize) as well as various national songwriting contests.  Musicals include Mom!, Threads! (2013 premiere (SC), 2020 (FL), 2023 (PA), published by Heartland Plays, Inc.), Woman for the World (semi-finalist 2016 Chicago Musical Theatre Festival Bridge Program, semi-finalist 2015 FWD Theatre Project).  Album releases include High Tide (2006, with Sara Cohen), 55 (2019, with Jesse Roy) and Seasons in Song (2022, with Jesse Roy).  She studied piano privately for 13 years and has a certificate in arranging from Berklee College of Music. Randi Wolfe (Lyrics) is an alumnus of Theatre Building Chicago's Musical Theater Workshop and LA's New Musicals Inc. Other works include When Butter Churns to Gold, produced by Northern Sky Theater in 2015 and 2016 and The Great American Melodrama in 2017. Even more than her background in early childhood education, Randi’s lyrics draw on her experience as a mom and grandma!
